We know your time is precious and we truly are honored that you are thinking of spending it with us. Maybe you are planning a party? Maybe your co-workers told you about us? Maybe you just need a few hours of fun. Whatever the reason, we are happy you chose us!

We might not be the most organized studio in town, but we don’t want to be. Art is messy! We want you to experience how much fun it is to be creative. We make it easy with an amazing staff that want to help you have fun and to be happy with your masterpiece. We are the oldest studio in the area and by far the largest. No one else comes close to what we offer nor with the quality of our staff. This is our second home, and we want it to be yours too.

No. We have an open studio at all times. If you are bringing in a large group, we appreciate a heads-up so we can try to set aside a large table. We do request advance notice to reserve our private party room. However, if you want to try your hand at Marvelous Mud, custom Wonderful Wood, or Dazzling Dyeing please visit the Marvelous Mud page, Wonderful Wood page or Dazzling Dyeing page for more information.

For Bisque & Stoneware, each piece is individually priced. We have pottery starting at $4. We charge a 50% studio fee. So the studio fee is attached to the piece, not the person. For example, a standard mug is $13 plus a $6 studio fee plus tax. The average purchase is $20 – $25 dollars. For Glass, pieces are priced by size, shape (square or circle), plus specialty glass and features are extra. Pendants (1.5″ square or 1″x2″) are $8, Night Lights are $20. The most popular size is an 8″ square bowl for $37. If you want to try your hand at Marvelous Mud, please visit Marvelous Mud for more information. Custom Wonderful Wood classes range in price from $35-$55. Walk-in Wonderful Wood is $25 per board. Fab Flames start at $16.

For Beautiful Bisque, the paints are non-toxic, lead-free, and completely safe. They also completely wash out of clothing without pre-treating. We do have aprons. We are recommending aprons when painting Stoneware as some of the glazes can stain.

For Wonderful Wood & Funky Flow Art, the paints are acrylic which is like plastic. Easily comes off skin but is permanent on clothing. We do provide aprons.

For Fab Flames, we provide aprons to protect from wax and colorants.

For Dazzling Dyeing, we provide aprons to protect against the fabric dyes.

Absolutely not! We are all about easy at PBY. We have many tips and tricks to help you be creative.

Both are welcome. You can even have food delivered. However, we do not recommend eating while painting. Greasy fingers will prevent the glaze from sticking. A cover or cap is required on all beverage and food when working in glass, wood or wax.

We are not able to fire pieces not purchased and painted in our studio.

No, we are proud to be family owned and operated. Pottery By You has been in business for 16 years. We (Rob & Peggy) have been the proud owners for most of that time.

Sorry, not at the same table. Glass and bisque do not normally mix so we have a glass work area in back and bisque painting is in the front of the studio.

Candles are also separated in their own area.

The paints are lead-free, and are completely safe to eat off of. Nothing is better than eating off of a plate that you have painted. Always brings a smile to my face!

We welcome all ages, really. We start teaching techniques at age 2 and by the age of 5 will teach just about any technique. Creating glass requires assistance until the age of 8.

Bisque & Glass usually takes 2 hours to complete an average project. Candles & Tarts take 1 1/2 hours to set up. Flow Art takes a few minutes. Wood can take 30 minutes to a couple hours. Dazzling Dyeing is only in a class setting. Classes usually take 2-3 hours.

We will carefully wrap up your pottery in paper to take home with you. You are welcome to come back and finish anytime without any additional fees. We recommend this two-step process for handprint plates if you’re with young children who can’t sit still long enough for you to paint the whole piece. All other types of projects need to be completed in one sitting.

Beautiful Bisque requires one week. If it will take longer because of special circumstances, we will let you know. December is the exception. We cannot guarantee 1 week delivery in December. However, it typically only takes a week even in December. Gorgeous Glass requires up to 2 weeks. Marvelous Mud requires a minimum of 2 weeks. Stoneware requires up to 2 weeks. Wonderful Wood is completed in studio. Funky Flow Art & Dazzling Dyeing are partially completed in studio but required extra care and drying time at home. Fab Flames take approximately 1 1/2 hours to set up and then can be taken home.

Yes, we will call or text you when your project is ready, provided you gave us your correct phone number and we can read it!

We typically can rush a piece for a $5 fee per item. Ask staff for more details. Candles cannot be rushed without jeopardizing quality.
